La Ventana, located in
Baja California Sur (BCS), Mexico, offers a unique blend of natural beauty, adventure, and sustainability, making it an ideal destination for any ocean adventurer.
The Sea of Cortez is one of the most biologically diverse marine environments in the world, providing a rich food web that supports large marine predators like orcas and filter feeders like mobulas.
Highlights
La Ventana is a prime location for observing four remarkable marine species: Orcas, Sperm Whales, Blue Whales and Mobula Ray.
Orcas:
Orcas are occasionally sighted in the Sea of Cortez, particularly in the waters around La Ventana. They are drawn to the area by the abundant marine life, which provides ample feeding opportunities.
Mobulas:
La Ventana is renowned for the large gatherings of mobula rays, especially during the spring and early summer months. These rays are known for their spectacular aerial acrobatics.
Sperm Whales:
These deep-diving mammals can reach up to 60 feet in length and are known for their resonant clicks—the loudest sound in the animal kingdom. They inhabit La Ventanas waters hunting for Giant Squid.
Blue Whales:
These gentle giants can grow over 100 feet long. Known for their deep blue-gray coloring and powerful spouts that rise like geysers, blue whales migrate through the region, offering a rare chance to witness their majesty up close.

Itinerary
Day 1
- Pick up at Los Cabos / La Paz, arrive at San Carlos (Bahia Magdalena).
- Expedition briefing.
Day 2
- Ocean Seafari (+/- 6 hrs)
- Free afternoon and dinner
Day 3
- Ocean Seafari (+/- 6 hrs)
- Photo and Video sneak peak.
Day 4
- Ocean Seafari (+/- 6 hrs)
- Return to Los Cabos / La Paz
*We can extend 1 night.
